Now, on to the picks…

✅ START: Antonio Williams (WAS) vs. Rams

With Terry McLaurin done for the year, the rookie third-rounder has moved to the front of Washington’s target line.

  • Led Commanders receivers in snaps (50), routes (29) and targets (7) in Week 8, catching five balls for 54 yards, including a 30-yarder up the seam

  • He holds a 26%+ target share, and his quick-win route style gives him a steady PPR floor

  • The Rams have been roughly middle-of-the-pack against wideouts, so this isn’t a matchup he has to fight through

He’s not a ceiling play yet, but primary-target volume in a neutral matchup makes Williams a solid PPR FLEX this week.

🚫 SIT: Michael Wilson (ARI) @ Seahawks

Wilson just had a monster game, but he did it on two broken ribs, and now he heads into the toughest WR matchup on the board.

  • Earned 15 targets in Week 8 and turned them into 8 catches, 111 yards and a TD against Dallas

  • Opened last week in a non-contact jersey and said he’ll suit up “even at 60 percent”

  • Seattle has been the NFL’s toughest defense against wide receivers and held Wilson to 2 catches for 18 yards on 7 targets back in Week 2

The volume is real, but a banged-up Wilson against Seattle’s secondary is a recipe for a dud, so sit him if you have the depth.

✅ START: Caleb Douglas (MIA) vs. Lions

The rookie is establishing himself as Miami’s primary perimeter deep threat, and Detroit is the right defense to cash that in.

  • He’s averaging 10.3 half-PPR points per game on 11.9 yards per target

  • He has big-play proof: 94 yards in his NFL debut and a 63-yard toe-tap touchdown down the sideline against the Jets in Week 7

  • Detroit allows the 2nd-most passing yards and 4th-most points to wideouts, and it ranks among the three weakest defenses in the league against the position

He tweaked his ankle again last week but returned to the game, so if he’s active, Douglas is a FLEX with real WR2 upside.

Still to come: our favorite full-PPR start of the week, against the softest WR matchup on this list.

🚫 SIT: DJ Moore (BUF) @ Vikings

Moore looked healthy in his Week 8 return, but Minnesota is about the worst possible place for an encore.

  • Minnesota has allowed only one wide receiver to clear 12.6 points since Week 2 and ranks among the two toughest defenses against WRs

  • The Vikings allow the 6th-fewest points to perimeter receivers and blitz heavily, which limits Josh Allen’s deep shots

  • His shoulder cost him Weeks 5 and 6, and he picked up a minor knee issue late in Week 8

Last week’s 82 yards and a touchdown were encouraging, but don’t chase the score into this matchup.

✅ START: Keenan Allen (IND) vs. Cowboys

The veteran keeps moving the chains, and he draws the friendliest WR matchup of the group.

  • He has 36 catches on 51 targets over seven games as Indy’s go-to slot separator

  • He went a perfect 7-of-7 for 67 yards in Week 8, out-gaining Tyler Warren 67-18 even though Warren drew more targets

  • Dallas has been one of the weakest defenses in the NFL against WRs, allowing the 8th-most fantasy points to the position and 17+ points to six different receivers

If Indy falls behind early, the pass volume will flow his way, so lock Allen in as a high-floor WR3, especially in full PPR.

🚫 SIT: Xavier Worthy (KC) vs. Jets

Rashee Rice’s return pushed Worthy to the background, and the Jets are built to keep him there.

  • He caught 3-of-6 targets for just 13 yards in Week 8, following an 11-yard showing in Week 7

  • He has topped 25 yards only once in games with Rice

  • He struggles against physical coverage, with a weak success rate vs. press (Reception Perception), and the Jets’ physical, press-heavy secondary ranks among the 10 toughest against WRs

Until another injury reopens the door, Worthy belongs on your bench.

That’s the list for Week 9: trust the volume, respect the matchups, and set your lineups with confidence.
