Now, on to the picks…
🔥 START: Parker Washington (JAX) vs. Colts
Washington has become Trevor Lawrence’s go-to target in a crowded Jaguars receiver room, and he comes out of the bye with one of the best matchups on the slate.
Double-digit PPR points in five of six games; the lone miss came in Week 4, when Jacksonville’s receivers combined for only 11 targets
On pace for nearly 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns, including a 30.4-point, two-touchdown game against the Eagles in Week 5
Indianapolis has been one of the NFL’s weakest defenses against receivers, giving up 29+ fantasy points per game to the position, and Washington scored 19 points against them in their last meeting
He has a WR2 floor with a ceiling well above it, so lock him in.
🧊 SIT: A.J. Brown (NE) @ Dolphins
Playing in New England was supposed to unlock Brown, but two games into his return from a high-ankle sprain, he doesn’t look like himself.
Scored 5.7 and 7.8 PPR points in his two games back, catching only six of 16 targets
Has at least four drops across those two games, including a potential long touchdown that went straight through his hands
Miami allows the third-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers, under 25 PPG
His burst and side-to-side movement still look limited, and until he passes the eye test, benching your first- or second-round pick is the hard but right call.
🔥 START: Stefon Diggs (WAS) vs. Eagles
With Terry McLaurin out for the year, Diggs is the most proven receiver left in Washington, and this week he faces a defense he has already beaten.
15+ PPR points in three of his five games, with four touchdowns over that span
Led the Commanders with nine targets against Philadelphia in Week 1 and caught a fourth-quarter touchdown
Earns targets wherever he lines up: a 31% share in his Washington debut and 24% as the top option when McLaurin sat in Week 4
Dan Quinn has hinted the extra volume could be spread around, but Diggs keeps producing whenever he’s on the field, and the bye gave his hamstring an extra week to heal.
🧊 SIT: Xavier Worthy (KC) @ Broncos
Worthy’s best weeks this season have come on gadget touches near the line of scrimmage, and Denver doesn’t leave room for those.
Turned six targets into just 11 yards against Seattle last week, struggling to separate and dropping a ball in a key second-half spot
Denver has been one of the four toughest defenses in the NFL against fantasy wide receivers, and he managed only 18 yards on six targets against them in Week 1
Physical coverage is his weak spot during his career: a 56.3% success rate vs. press in past seasons (Reception Perception)
With Rashee Rice possibly returning to take targets, Worthy is a gimmick play in a matchup that doesn’t reward gimmicks.
🔥 START: Matthew Golden (GB) vs. Panthers
Golden’s sophomore breakout continues, and a quiet Week 7 sets up a strong bounce-back spot.
Gets the volume of a true WR1: he led all Packers receivers with 12 targets last week, four of them 20+ yards downfield
Has 15+ PPR points in four of seven games, with three 100-yard games
Carolina’s numbers against receivers look respectable on the season, but the Panthers are now without starting corners Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson, and their secondary has allowed 12+ points to five different receivers since Week 4
The 39-yard game against Detroit was the outlier, not the trend, so start Golden with confidence.
🧊 SIT: Ladd McConkey (LAC) @ Rams
The draft-season upside case for McConkey in Mike McDaniel’s offense has fallen apart under a pile of injuries, and the offense around him has fallen apart too.
Has left three of his five games early, with chest, foot and now head injuries
Hasn’t topped 10.6 PPR points in a game since Week 1 and has spent stretches as little more than a decoy, targeted on just 14% of his routes in Week 2
The Rams allow the fourth-fewest passing yards per game (186.3), and the Chargers are down to their depth receivers at this point
He’s banged up, he’s in a struggling offense, and he faces a stingy pass defense, so he belongs on your bench this week.
That’s the list. Trust the volume, fade the injuries, and set your lineup early.
