🏈 Thursday Night Football Recap:

Packers 27, Panthers 19

Jordan Love managers got a strong start to Week 9: 288 yards and three touchdowns on 30-of-41 passing, with one pick. Josh Jacobs scored twice (one rushing, one receiving), which hid a rough 39 yards on 21 carries against the league’s worst run defense. Christian Watson posted 8 catches for 113 yards despite what he said was a broken rib, so monitor his status before the Nov. 8 trip to New England. Tucker Kraft and rookie Matthew Golden also scored, though Golden dropped a likely TD and was the target on Love’s red-zone interception. Green Bay’s defense remains a strong start, with six sacks and no opponent over 20 points in five straight games. For Carolina, Chuba Hubbard delivered 119 scrimmage yards and a score, while Bryce Young (209 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) stays on your bench. Broncos pass catchers get a boost on Nov. 8: Carolina lost CB Will Lee to a hamstring injury, with three other corners already on IR.

🚨 Player News:

INJURY WATCH

Zach Charbonnet / Jadarian Price (SEA) – The two backs went opposite directions on Friday’s injury report. Charbonnet (knee) was downgraded to limited, which is likely part of a planned ramp-up in his return. Price (chest) was upgraded to full. Both now look more likely than not to play Monday against the Bears. That would leave Charbonnet, Price and Emanuel Wilson as shaky FLEX plays in a crowded backfield. Official designations come Saturday afternoon. (Patrick Daugherty)

George Pickens (DAL) – He is questionable against the Cardinals after a hamstring issue was added to the shoulder injury he’s played through for two weeks. He’s expected to play, but confirm his status before inactives. If active, he’s an upside WR2. (Mark Garcia)

RJ Harvey (DEN) – He was ruled out against the Chiefs with a knee injury. With Tyler Badie on IR, Jonah Coleman should lead the backfield and could see more passing-down work. That makes Coleman a viable FLEX this week. (Mark Garcia)

Ladd McConkey (LAC) – He has cleared concussion protocol and will play against the Rams coming out of the bye. The Chargers’ offense has underwhelmed, so treat him as a FLEX, not the WR2 he was drafted as. (Mark Garcia)

Lamar Jackson (BAL) – He will return Sunday at Buffalo after missing three games with a high ankle sprain. He practiced fully all week and called the pain “bearable,” though he doesn’t appear to be at full strength. He gets a Bills defense ranked 31st against the pass, so fire him up. (Jamison Hensley)

Rashee Rice (KC) – He is expected back from a hamstring strain for Sunday’s game at Denver after practicing all week. Kansas City’s receivers managed six catches for 39 yards without him last week, so he should step right back into a featured role. (Nate Taylor)

TRADE BUZZ

Jonathan Taylor (IND) – The rebuilding Colts are now open to trading him and are in active talks. The Broncos, Packers, Vikings, Giants and Seahawks have reportedly shown interest. Indy wants something close to a McCaffrey-style package. He’s expected to play Sunday against Jacksonville, but a new home could be coming before the Nov. 10 deadline. (ESPN/NFL Network)

Josh Downs (IND) – He requested a trade this week, and the Colts are reportedly asking for third-round value. He’s expected to suit up against the Jaguars. (ESPN/NFL Network)

Garrett Wilson (NYJ) – Despite the deadline chatter, a source says there’s “no way” the Jets move him. Ownership loves him, and he’s viewed as a core building block. Lock him into your lineups as a Jet the rest of the way. (Adam Schefter)

OFF-FIELD

Josh Jacobs (GB) – Police records released Friday show three other women contacted police with abuse allegations against Jacobs after his May arrest. He pleaded no contest in September to misdemeanor battery and property damage charges. He has played two games since coming off the commissioner exempt list. The NFL’s investigation is ongoing, so further discipline remains possible. Monitor his status closely. (Associated Press)

That’s the news. Good luck out there this weekend… come back tomorrow for a list of doubtful and inactive players.
