🏈 Thursday Night Football Recap:

Bears 30, Patriots 24

Chicago evened the Caleb Williams–Drake Maye rivalry with a 30-24 Thursday night win over New England. Fully recovered from his hamstring injury, Williams threw for 308 yards and two scores, and Luther Burden turned four catches into 130 yards and a touchdown. Colston Loveland also scored, and his value could climb if Cole Kmet’s knee injury proves serious. Maye was a fantasy star in defeat, posting 321 passing yards, two touchdown passes and a rushing score despite an end-zone interception. Rhamondre Stevenson added five catches for 93 yards and a 48-yard touchdown, and rookie tight end Eli Raridon caught a 30-yard score. Cairo Santos tied the franchise record with a 58-yard field goal. The Bears (5-2) visit Seattle on Nov. 2, while the Patriots (4-3) head to Miami on Nov. 1.

🚨 Player News:

Saints vs. Steelers in Paris – The NFL closed its Paris fan venue and pop-up shop ahead of street protests, and a Steelers fan event was canceled over security concerns. Sunday’s game at Stade de France, the league’s first regular-season game in France, is still on. Roger Goodell says security plans were made with U.S. and French authorities. (ESPN)

Sam LaPorta (DET) – After voicing frustration about stalled contract talks earlier this week, LaPorta walked it back and said he wants to stay in Detroit long-term and raise a family there. No signs of a distraction. He’s a locked-in TE1 against the Packers. (Colton Pouncy)

Lamar Jackson (BAL) – Questionable for Sunday’s AFC North showdown with the Bengals after missing two straight games with a high ankle sprain. He was limited all week and says he’s “headed in the right direction,” but his return depends on pain tolerance rather than swelling. Tyler Huntley would start again if Jackson sits. Monitor closely before kickoff.

George Pickens (DAL) – Says he’ll play Monday night against the Eagles despite icing his shoulder during the last two games. He practiced in full Friday, and the Monday game gives him an extra day. Start him as a WR2. (Jon Machota)

DeVonta Smith (PHI) – Missed practice again Friday with a hamstring injury, and there is “the sense” he won’t play Monday against the Cowboys. The Eagles have been managing his reps and pulled him for multiple drives in Week 6. Consider him highly questionable. Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) could also sit. (Jeff McLane)

That’s the news. Good luck out there this weekend… come back tomorrow for a list of doubtful and inactive players.
