Now, on to the picks…
🔥 START: Tetairoa McMillan (CAR) vs. Lions
Don't let a 2-catch, 17-yard dud scare you off: the Browns keyed on McMillan in Week 3 after Jalen Coker left midway and Xavier Legette sat, and Week 4 brings a big rebound spot.
Detroit's secondary is giving up a league-high 39.7 fantasy points per game and 437 receiving yards to wideouts.
He led Carolina with 10 targets and a 28% target share in Week 2, turning his opportunities into 101 yards.
He's built to beat extra attention, with a 71.4% success rate vs. double teams as a rookie, per Reception Perception.
With Coker questionable due to a quad injury, McMillan projects for double-digit targets as Carolina's undisputed top option. Fire him up.
❌ SIT: Jameson Williams (DET) @ Panthers
Williams closed 2025 as an every-week fantasy WR2, but that usage has all but vanished, and he hasn't topped four catches in any game this season.
He's averaging just 4 targets per game over his last two outings, with a 12.5% target share in Week 3 while Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown saw 8 apiece.
His PPR efficiency has dropped from 0.37 to 0.21 points per route.
Carolina is allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers, at 23.5 per game.
He was already a boom-or-bust asset with 10 drops in 2025, and a tight-end-heavy Drew Petzing scheme against a stingy secondary makes a bust more likely. Bench him this week.
🔥 START: Zay Flowers (BAL) vs. Titans
The efficiency many (including me) called unrepeatable is back and even louder: Flowers leads the NFL at an eye-popping 9.0 yards per route run.
He posted 84 yards on just 14 routes and a 29% snap share in Week 3 while playing through a hamstring injury.
He's earning targets on a remarkable 48% of his routes, and Lamar Jackson looks for him whenever he's on the field.
Tennessee is surrendering 32.9 fantasy points per game to wideouts.
He ranked 5th in yards per route run last season (2.62), so this isn't a fluke. As his route participation grows, Flowers is a high-end WR2 with a massive ceiling.
❌ SIT: Ladd McConkey (LAC) @ Seahawks
The Mike McDaniel offense was supposed to unlock McConkey, but the Chargers are 0-3 and still working out the kinks in their new scheme.
He's been held to 10.6 or fewer fantasy points in consecutive weeks while playing through a rib injury.
Tre' Harris has led the Chargers in receiving for two straight weeks.
Seattle's secondary allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers.
The talent hasn't gone anywhere, and he was an elite separator for two years running. Still, defenses are starting to take away the only consistent option in a stalled offense, and Seattle is the wrong week to find out if that changes.
🔥 START: Michael Wilson (ARI) @ Giants
Wilson has officially taken over as the alpha in Arizona and is Jacoby Brissett's clear top target.
He saw 17 targets in Week 3 and turned them into 11 catches, 89 yards and a touchdown, more than three times Marvin Harrison Jr.'s opportunities.
He's running 78.4% of his routes on the perimeter, and the Giants surrender the 6th-most yards to outside receivers.
He finished as the overall fantasy WR10 last season and ranked 2nd in the NFL in routes run (602).
The volume is locked in, and the matchup cooperates. Start Wilson as a confident WR3 with WR2 upside.
❌ SIT: Deebo Samuel (SF) @ Broncos
Samuel is tempting with San Francisco's receiver room decimated, but those same injuries leave him in a bad spot against Denver.
His Week 3 line was fluky: zero targets and zero receptions, with all 80 yards and the touchdown coming on a single hook-and-ladder trick play.
Denver allows just 27.4 fantasy points per game to wideouts.
With pretty much all the other SF wideouts banged up, nobody can pull shutdown corner Patrick Surtain II off of him.
At 30, Samuel is a gadget and YAC weapon rather than a traditional route-runner, and that profile is especially vulnerable to shadow coverage. Leave him on your bench this week.
That’s the list. Make the right decisions on wide receivers to get the most out of your lineup.
