🏈 Thursday Night Football Recap:

Bills Blowout Buffalo's New Building; Fantasy Winners Everywhere

Josh Allen christened Highmark Stadium in style Thursday night, accounting for five touchdowns (three passing, two rushing) in a 41-31 win over Detroit — another reminder he's a weekly fantasy floor-raiser. James Cook chipped in 134 rushing yards and a late score, while Josh Palmer, Dalton Kincaid, and Dawson Knox all found the end zone to spread the wealth among Buffalo's pass-catchers. Detroit's offense held up its end too: Jared Goff threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns, Amon-Ra St. Brown racked up nine catches for 142 yards and two scores, and Jahmyr Gibbs added a receiving TD despite a quiet ground game — proof his pass-catching remains his top fantasy asset even in a loss. Bottom line: treat Buffalo's offense, Allen in particular, as a must-start unit all season.

🚨 Player News:

DJ Moore (BUF) – Exited early in Week 2 vs. the Lions after appearing to hurt his shoulder diving for a ball in the end zone. He walked to the locker room under his own power, and looked unlikely to return. (Mark Garcia)

Kyle Williams (NE) – Chad Graff wants him more involved to spark explosive plays, but he was "buried on the depth chart" in camp and played just 12 snaps in the opener. Deep-league stash only for now. (Chad Graff)

Zay Flowers (BAL) – Free agent WR Brandin Cooks worked out for the Ravens Thursday, a bad sign for Flowers' (hamstring) Week 2 outlook — especially with rookie Ja'Kobi Lane also landing on short-term IR. A Cooks signing looks likely. (Mike Garafolo)

Chris Olave (NO) – Left Thursday's practice as a "precautionary measure" for a hamstring issue that isn't expected to be a "problem." Worth monitoring since midweek soft-tissue tweaks aren't always nothing — Devaughn Vele is the priority add if Olave sits. (Nick Underhill)

DK Metcalf (PIT) – Aaron Rodgers said he's "going to keep feeding" Metcalf despite a rough Week 1 (4-of-10 targets, two offensive pass interference flags). Good reassurance if you were tempted to fade him. (Rivers McCown)

Oronde Gadsden (LAC) – OC Mike McDaniel expects more usage after just eight Week 1 snaps, but stopped short of a real commitment. Not startable in 12-team leagues until it shows up on the field. (Kris Rhim)

TreVeyon Henderson (NE) – Said he's "ready to go" for Week 2 vs. the Steelers after a full week of practice. Expect a 10ish-touch role behind Rhamondre Stevenson as a big-play FLEX. (Mike Reiss)

Cyrus Allen (KC) – OC Eric Bieniemy says the Chiefs will build him up "the right way," but that hasn't shown up in playing time — just one snap in Week 1 despite a quiet day from Rice and Worthy. Not fantasy-relevant yet. (Charles Goldman)

Nico Collins (HOU) – His Week 2 status vs. the Bengals "is in jeopardy" after a practice hamstring injury. If he sits, expect bigger roles for Kayshon Boutte and Xavier Hutchinson (neither past WR4 range), with Jaylin Noel worth watching too. (Adam Schefter)

Rams Injury Notes: Aaron Donald / Myles Garrett – Sean McVay says the Rams are "hopeful" DT Aaron Donald plays Monday night against the Giants after a full Thursday practice; it comes down to how he feels over the next two days. Separately, Myles Garrett is "feeling good" after Monday knee surgery but has no return timeline and is out at least four games on IR. (ESPN)

Jaylin Noel (HOU) – Says he "would not be surprised" if Noel sees a bigger role in Week 2 against the Bengals. With Nico Collins (hamstring) sidelined, he's a boom-bust FLEX dart, though Xavier Hutchinson has been ahead of him on the depth chart so far. (Ian Rapoport)

Puka Nacua (LAR) – Did not practice Friday with a hip issue, which puts his Monday night status against the Giants in question. It may be tied to the groin and psoas problems that bothered him in August and earlier this month. Have a backup plan ready, especially since WR Jordan Whittington (quad) also missed practice. (Gary Klein)

That’s the Saturday News drop. Tomorrow’s edition will provide a full update on players who are on the bubble to suit up for Week 1.
