🚨 Player News:
RETURNING THIS WEEK
Caleb Williams (CHI) – Confirmed to start in Week 6 vs. Atlanta after missing three straight games with a hamstring injury. A big boost for every Bears pass catcher. (Mike Garafolo)
A.J. Brown (NE) – Activated from IR after missing four games with an ankle injury. He may be on a snap count in his first game back, but he rejoins a Drake Maye-led offense with a league-high eight TDs since Week 4.
Ja’Kobi Lane (BAL) – “Good to go” for Week 6 vs. Cleveland after practicing in full all week (wrist). Rashod Bateman missed practice with a shoulder issue, so Lane could slot in as the No. 2 target behind Zay Flowers right away. (Jeremy Fowler)
OUT / INJURED RESERVE
Jalen Hurts (PHI) – Placed on IR with blood clots. The team reversed course hours after saying it wouldn’t make the move, and the absence is being labeled “indefinite.” Tanner McKee takes over and is a deep-league QB2 option.
Baker Mayfield (TB) – Out again in Week 6 (thumb), with Jalon Daniels starting vs. Pittsburgh. There’s “optimism” he returns in Week 7 vs. Carolina if the swelling subsides. (Tom Pelissero)
Alec Pierce (IND) – Still a few weeks away (heel) and not expected to return to practice next week when he’s eligible. Hard to justify holding him in leagues without IR spots. (Tom Pelissero, James Boyd)
FRONT OFFICE WATCH
Chargers (LAC) – Despite an 0-5 start, GM Joe Hortiz is turning down trade calls for now. A loss to the 4-0 Chiefs could change that. Fantasy names to watch if the market opens: Keaton Mitchell, Kimani Vidal and Quentin Johnston. (Tom Pelissero)
Titans (TEN) – Ownership is publicly backing HC Robert Saleh and GM Mike Borgonzi despite an 0-5 start. The team has fired a coach or GM every year since 2022. (Turron Davenport)
That’s the major fantasy news. Good luck out there today…
-Joe
