🏈 Thursday Night Football Recap:

Bucs 24, Cowboys 16: Bucky Irving finally broke out, racing for a career-high 165 yards on 21 carries and scoring twice (one rushing, one receiving), including a 72-yard burst that set up the go-ahead score. Filling in for Baker Mayfield (thumb, likely out at least one more week), rookie Jalon Daniels played it clean with 189 yards, a TD and no turnovers, making him a usable superflex fill-in. Emeka Egbuka added a 14-yard rushing TD on a jet sweep. For Dallas, Dak Prescott threw for 316 yards and a score to George Pickens but was picked twice. CeeDee Lamb went from 17 catches last week to just 2 for 9 yards before leaving with a quad injury, so watch his status ahead of the Oct. 18 trip to Green Bay. Tampa hosts Pittsburgh next.

🚨 Player News:

Caleb Williams (CHI) – Bears coach Ben Johnson named Tyson Bagent the starter earlier this week, but Williams (hamstring) has since returned to limited practice and is progressing through his rehab. Bagent is still “most likely” to start against the Packers. Keep Williams rostered in 12-team leagues. (Jeremy Fowler)

Jayden Daniels (WAS) – Daniels is “not 100 percent” as he continues rehabbing the elbow on his non-throwing arm. He should still be able to throw and run effectively, so he stays in the QB1 tier, but re-injury risk remains. (Ian Rapoport)

Lamar Jackson (BAL) – The Ravens reportedly “do not know” whether Jackson (ankle) will play against the Browns. If Tyler Huntley starts, the passing game takes a small hit, though Zay Flowers remains a must-start. (Ian Rapoport)

Kyle Monangai (CHI) – Turf toe on top of the thumb issue from earlier in the week, which puts his availability in doubt for the next 1-2 weeks. He hopes to play through it, but missing practice to start the week leaves him on the wrong side of questionable. RB-needy managers should look at Roschon Johnson. (Jeremy Fowler)

Joe Alt (LAC) – He is expected to miss Week 5 against the Broncos with a neck injury, joining LT Rashawn Slater (ankle) on the sidelines. That leaves both starting tackles out in front of Justin Herbert. There are “no plans” for injured reserve. (Ian Rapoport)

Joe Mixon (FA) – The Seahawks passed on signing him after his physical. It was his first real interest since the Texans released him in March, and the medical red flag isn’t a good sign for a comeback. (Adam Schefter)

Lane Johnson (PHI) – He retired after 14 seasons, citing changed personal and family priorities. Markel Bell, who started in Week 4, should hold the right tackle job going forward. (via Lane Johnson’s retirement post)

That’s the news. Keep an eye on the updates before the Sunday slate!
