🏈 Thursday Night Football Recap:

Watson leads another game-winning drive, Szmyt hits 56-yard FG and Browns beat Steelers 27-24

Deshaun Watson led his third straight fourth-quarter comeback, setting up Andre Szmyt's career-long 56-yarder with 10 seconds left to move Cleveland to 3-1. Watson threw for 268 yards, a TD and an INT, with Jerry Jeudy making two key grabs on the final drive. Harold Fannin Jr. has three TDs in two games and is a TE streaming option. The Browns backfield remains split, with both Jaleel McLaughlin (28 yards) and Quinshon Judkins (2 yards) finding the end zone. For Pittsburgh, Aaron Rodgers posted 299 yards and three TDs but threw two picks. DK Metcalf went 5-115, and Jaylen Warren ran for 93 yards on 17 carries in another workhorse role with Rico Dowdle out. Cleveland's defense, with five sacks and two INTs, is worth a streaming look. 🚨 Player News:

Mason Graham (CLE) – The Browns think their second-year DT avoided a significant knee injury suffered Thursday night against the Steelers. He'll have an MRI Friday to confirm. Graham has been an IDP stud so far (15 tackles, six TFLs, four sacks in four games), and if he avoids IR, a return within three weeks seems possible. (Ian Rapoport)

DeVonta Smith (PHI) – The Eagles are preparing to play without him against the Rams after his hamstring flared up following last week's 6-65 outing. Dontayvion Wicks is expected to step in as Philadelphia's top receiver and is worth a look in deeper leagues. (Tim McManus)

Joey Porter Jr. (DAL) – The Steelers have traded Porter to Dallas for a second-round pick and a conditional sixth. He hasn't played a snap in 2026 because of a back injury and a contract dispute, but if he's healthy he should be a big upgrade for a Cowboys secondary that has struggled badly against the pass through three weeks. Opposing WR matchups against Dallas may get tougher soon. (Tom Pelissero)

Jameson Williams (DET) – Williams will not face assault charges from an August 6th incident. The Oakland County Prosecutor's office and Novi Police jointly found "no cause to file charges." He's expected to play in Week 4 against Carolina, so fire him up as usual. (Dave Birkett)

Jaylen Waddle (DEN) – He was spotted in a walking boot after Sunday night's win over the Rams, but the Broncos reportedly say he's "fine." The boot may have been precautionary. Watch Wednesday's practice report before locking him in. (Sam Jane)

Brian Thomas Jr. (JAX) – He played just 23 snaps in Week 3 as the Jaguars leaned on more two-tight-end sets and carved out a role for Josh Cameron. There's growing chatter that a fresh start could be best for both sides, so keep an eye on the trade deadline. He's droppable in shallow leagues. (John Shipley)

Jayden Daniels (WAS) – His elbow will likely need surgery after the season, but he's putting it off to play now. He isn't expected to suit up this week, though he'll practice in some capacity and could return "sooner rather than later." A setback or a Commanders slide could change the calculus. (Adam Schefter)

Jaylen Warren (PIT) – He ran as a true workhorse in Week 3 with Rico Dowdle (toe) out, posting 127 rushing yards on 17 carries plus 3-49 receiving and running a route on 70% of dropbacks. Dowdle didn't practice Monday ahead of Thursday's game vs. Cleveland. Warren should be in all lineups. (Mike DeFabo)

J.J. McCarthy (NYG) – The Giants acquired McCarthy from the Vikings for a 2027 fifth-round pick, ending a quarterback search that also included Justin Fields, Gardner Minshew, Mac Jones and Jimmy Garoppolo. With Jaxson Dart out and Jameis Winston struggling badly in relief, McCarthy could see the field sooner rather than later. Until the QB picture settles, treat Giants pass catchers as risky starts. (Tom Pelissero, Adam Schefter)

De'Von Achane (MIA) – Achane tore his ACL in the Week 3 loss to the Chiefs, ending his season. Ollie Gordon (17-41-1 in relief) is the priority waiver add, though his ceiling is capped in an 0-3 offense averaging just 12 points per game. Jaylen Wright, who missed Week 3 with an injury, is worth a stash in deeper leagues. (Ian Rapoport)
